ABOUT ME

My name is John and having grown up in France, I am fully versed in the French language and culture.

I am a qualified, experienced language teacher and give lessons in Northwood, Middlesex and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications:

• Test d’accès direct au DALF (Diplôme approfondi de la langue Française) Alliance Française
• Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages

Some of the areas in which I tutor students of all ages and ability are:

• GCSE preparation
• Understanding of grammar
• Exam preparation & practice (e.g. GCSE, Key Stage, SATs)
• Reading and writing skills
• Pronunciation
• Conversation practice
• General French for holidays

My role as a French teacher involves careful assessment of each student and the adaptation of my lessons accordingly. I like to take a structured and logical approach, breaking things down so they are easy to understand, and then building them back up again; I find this method of giving tuition to be highly effective with learners of all levels. Learning a new language should be fun and also interesting.

In the first lesson I would assess what is needed and set goals that we can work towards.

As a private teacher, I see students for lessons that usually last for one hour. A lesson can either take place at my house in Northwood or I can come to you and teach in your own home.

I am available for tutoring on any day of the week including weekends (mornings, afternoons & evenings).

I am based in Northwood, Middlesex and cover the surrounding areas including:

Bushey, Eastcote, Harrow, Hatch End, Kenton, Kingsbury, Moor Park, North Harrow, Northwick Park, Northwood, Northwood Hills, Pinner, Rayners Lane, Ruislip, South Harrow, Stanmore, Wealdstone & West Harrow.
